Other information: La raclette fût inventée au Moyen-âge par des bergers qui la consommaient principalement en été, en plein air, au moment où ils emmenaient paître les vaches. A l'époque, on parle de "fromage rôti" pour désigner ce plat qui consiste à faire fondre une demi meule de fromage placée devant le feu de bois.
